30 minutes with a senior engineer and the department lead most relevant to your stack. We solve the problem on the call when we can — and tell you honestly when we can't.
What you get
Whoever joins the call has shipped your category to production. No SDR triage, no 'qualifying questions before we route you'. Direct line to the engineer who'd own the work.
CORTEX (AI/ML), FORGE (custom software), NEXUS (cloud), or CITADEL (security) — whoever maps to your stack. The bench you see in the proposal is the bench in production.
If the right answer is to hire internally, use a different vendor, or not build it yet — we'll say that. We turn down ~30% of inbound projects when the fit isn't there.
Bring a current diagram or a proposed one. We'll walk through the trade-offs, surface the failure modes we've seen at peer organizations, and recommend a defensible first move.
Summary of the conversation, the recommendation, the next step. Yours to share with stakeholders. No deck, no follow-up sequence unless you ask.
NDA on request. Data shared on the call stays on the call. We don't record without consent, don't reuse client diagrams, and don't pitch your problem to other prospects.
How it works
Pick a time on the calendar. We'll route to the senior engineer and department lead most relevant to your stack — based on the topic you select at booking.
Diagrams, decks, scribbled notes — anything. The more concrete, the more useful. We'll spend the first 5 minutes calibrating, then 20 minutes on the actual work.
Architecture review, build-vs-buy guidance, vendor assessment, or scope-pruning. We'll tell you what we'd do if we owned the engagement — and what we'd avoid.
Engage with us, hire someone else, build it internally, or shelve it. We'll send a written summary either way. Most clients come back six months later — even if the first answer was 'don't do this yet'.
In their words
“Most agency calls are 25 minutes of qualification and 5 minutes of substance. Prosigns flipped that in the first call. We had a workable architecture by minute 18.”
Not for you if
We’d rather you book a call with the right firm than spend 30 minutes discovering we aren’t.
Common questions
Yes. No invoice, no follow-up sales sequence, no 'free assessment' that turns into a paid one. We give away the first call because it's the most efficient way to filter for engagements that fit. If we're not a fit, both of us have saved a quarter.
Always at least one senior engineer (G6+). For substantive technical conversations we add the relevant department lead — CORTEX, FORGE, NEXUS, or CITADEL. For broader strategic conversations, the founder or a delivery lead. We don't put junior reps on first calls.
No. Pick a time, show up, ask whatever. The only ask is that you bring something concrete to look at — even a rough diagram or a decision you're stuck on — so the time is useful for both of us.
Yes — bring up to 4 people. We've found 30 minutes is most productive with 2–4 stakeholders on each side. More than that, the conversation flattens into a status meeting.
We'll tell you, and where possible refer you to a firm we trust in that domain. We've referred work to Stripe Press, Honeycomb, Galileo, and individual specialists — including senior engineers who used to work at Prosigns. The referral isn't a fee arrangement; it's just better than wasting your time.
Yes — standard mutual NDA available, or we'll sign yours if it's reasonable. Most first calls happen under our default confidentiality posture (everything stays on the call), but if procurement requires a paper NDA before substantive conversation, we'll have it back to you within one business day.
